NH firm to supply Patriot missile components

A southern New Hampshire company has been awarded a contract to
provide components for Patriot Missile Fire Control Systems manufactured for
the United Arab Emirates by Raytheon.
The New Hampshire Division of Economic Development announced
Thursday the components and sub-assemblies would be supplied by Beckwood
Services Inc., which is located in Plaistow.
According to a news release, Beckwood designs and manufactures
electronic controls for electro-mechanical equipment used by defense industries
and other companies. Beckwood expects to increase its employment in Plaistow by
15 percent over the next two years to meet the contract.

Beckwood Services, Inc. receives
contract to provide components for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense
System
Plaistow, NH, (February 11, 2010) - Beckwood Services, Inc.
has been awarded a contract from Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems to
provide mission-critical components and sub-assemblies for Patriot Missile Fire
Control Systems manufactured for the United Arab Emirates by Raytheon.
The combat-proven Patriot is the cornerstone of air and
missile defense for twelve countries, including the U.S.
This contract is an example of the relationship Raytheon has
with New Hampshire small business manufacturers who have demonstrated the world
class engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain management
capability that Raytheon requires.
Beckwood was established in 1991 to design and manufacture
electronic controls for electro-mechanical equipment used by international
Fortune 1000 companies in the machine tool, semi-conductor, military and
defense industries.
Beckwood gratefully acknowledges the assistance of the Office
of Governor John Lynch, the Congressional delegation of the State of New
Hampshire and SBANE the Smaller Business Association of New England. Each
provided support and recognition to Beckwood in the pursuit of this contract.
Beckwood expects that as a result of this contract, Beckwood will increase its
